TRAVEL

To reach Easton and Oxford, we suggest flying into Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI), which is about 60 miles from Easton, where the host hotels are located.

Other nearby airports include Reagan National Airport (DCA), which is 74 miles from the area, and Dulles International Airport (IAD), which is 101 miles. Although Dulles may have the most international flights, it may take two to three hours to reach Easton from there, depending on traffic.

If you choose to travel by train, the nearest railway station is at BWI airport.

We will be providing shuttles to/from the airport(s) with the most guest arrivals/departures. In the coming months, we will poll guests regarding tentative travel plans so that we can provide you more detailed information about our wedding shuttles.

Unfortunately, ride sharing services are generally not available to/from/on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

The Bay Runner Shuttle runs seven times daily to/from BWI to Easton, MD.

ACCOMMODATIONS

EASTON IS A SMALL TOWN WITH SMALL HOTELS. OXFORD IS EVEN SMALLER.

We’ve reserved room blocks at both the Tidewater Inn and the Hampton Inn Easton. The Tidewater Inn will be our “home base” for the weekend—it’s hosting the Welcome Reception and the Farewell Brunch—and it’s just a little more than the Hampton Inn. Because the Tidewater Inn only offers king rooms and has limited availability, we’ve also added a block at the Hampton Inn to ensure everyone has a comfortable place to stay.

To make the weekend easy and seamless, we will be running shuttles between the two hotels, as well as round-trip transportation to the wedding from both locations. The host hotels are less than a mile apart.

For our younger guests (or anyone hoping to share a room), the Hampton Inn is a great option, as it offers double rooms with two beds—something the Tidewater Inn does not.

Stay wherever feels right for you—both hotels will be fully connected to the celebration!

HOW TO RESERVE YOUR ROOM

Tidewater Inn: Guests must call the hotel directly to book within the Noades/Dearborn Room Block for the correct rate. Please mention the wedding date when calling. At this time, the room block cannot be booked online, and third-party reservation sites will not have access to the block.

Why is the wedding in Maryland?

Spencer's family owns a historic farm on the water in Maryland, and we instantly knew it was the ideal setting to celebrate our marriage. With Spencer being from Texas and Alex from London, we knew that no matter where we chose to host the celebration, at least half of our guests would need to travel - so why not make it somewhere truly special?

WILL THE CEREMONY BE OUTSIDE?

ARE THERE RIDESHARE DRIVERS AVAILABLE ON THE EASTERN SHORE?

NO! Unfortunately, there are generally no Uber of Lyft drivers in Easton or Oxford. We will be providing shuttles between the host hotels and to/from the wedding! If you want to explore the area, we recommend renting a car at the airport.

Should I rent a car for the weekend?

Yes, if you want independence and flexibility. There are no rideshare drivers on the eastern shore of Maryland. We will be providing some shuttles between the airport(s) with the most guest arrivals/departures to the host hotels. Since there are three possible airports, we will not know where or when those shuttles will be until we poll guests to understand your needs. We will be providing continuous shuttles between the host hotels and to/from the wedding.

WILL THERE BE PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE WEDDING?

Yes, if you choose not to take a shuttle there will be plenty of parking available, but you will have to walk a bit
